BIO

I have obtained my PhD in Cancer Biology from the Department of Clinical Genetics and Toxicology at the University of Leicester. During my PhD studies, I was employed by the NHS Leicester Royal Infirmary to investigate the use of Vitamin E and D on gene expression changes in diet-related carcinogenesis. Following completion of my PhD, I worked as a research associate in the Department of Cell Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Leicester investigating signalling mechanisms of RGS proteins and muscarinic receptors.

In 2005, I moved to the Institute of Neurology, University College London to work in the genetics and genomics of paediatric brain tumours.

I joined the University of Wolverhampton in 2010 as a senior research fellow to establish the the Neuro-Oncology Brain Tumour Research Centre.
