RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am passionate about research that matters to society, impacting on real life beyond the academic body of knowledge. My research interests are around three key topics:

  • Inclusive Digitalisation and AI adoption from Social Sciences and Humanities perspective: As a co-investigator, I have worked on a project regarding inclusive digitalisation for disabled people in manufacturing industry, funded by InterAct, led by ESRC and Made Smarter. I have also published a commissioned policy discussion paper on digital placemaking at the British Academy. More recently, I have published and presented several papers regarding AI ethics, regulations and policy.
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at workplace: I have worked on various projects investigating EDI issues in diverse industries including screen, care and manufacturing. The issues include gender, disability and life stage (maternity and menopause). I have published a policy report through a project on inclusive growth through a place-based approach in creative industries funded by PEC at the NESTA.
  • Meaning of work and meaningful work: I am a Lord Paul Fellow at the University of Wolverhampton, exploring meaningful work in Heritage Craft industry. I am also currently editing a collection on meaningful work in creative industry.
