RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research is focussed on the major human food-borne pathogens Campylobacter jejuni and C. coli and in particular on the molecular basis of pathogenesis of this organism as well as understanding how the organism has evolved to become such a pathogen and occupy a range of different niches. More recent collaborative research has been in the use of probiotics as a way of reducing Campylobacter in the food-chain.
