Dr Emmanuel Daniel is an Associate Professor (Reader) in Sustainable Construction Management, the Postgraduate Programme Leader for MSc Construction Project Management, and the Deputy Research Group Leader for Digital Construction in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Wolverhampton, UK. He is a Chartered Construction Manager and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He teaches and researches in construction project management, modern methods of construction, and maritime port infrastructure.

Emmanuel obtained his PhD in Construction Management from Nottingham Trent University in the UK. The nucleus of his research is on how to apply social-technical and modern methods of construction approaches for construction process improvement, and in the maritime sector. Specifically, his research focuses on Off-site, digitalisation, Lean construction, Maritime port infrastructure, Social value, Health and safety  Sustainable construction, Brownfield regeneration, Workforce capability development, and a Sustainable maritime sector.

He has worked on various funded projects for multiple organisations, including the British Council, Lloyd's Registers Foundation, and National Highways England. His research outputs have been published in international peer-reviewed journals, conferences, book chapters, and as a research report. He has over 100 publications.

Dr Daniel is an Adjunct Professor in Construction Management and Technology at Gondar University in Ethiopia and an Advisory Board Member of the Centre for Engineering and Architectural Sustainability at Anglia Ruskin University, UK. He is an Advisory Board Member of the West Midlands Advanced Construction Cluster. He is a reviewer for over twenty peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He is an Associate Guest Editor for the Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Management, Procurement and Law, a Section Editor of the Building Engineering Journal, a Board Member of the International Journal of Construction Business and Management, a Co-editor of the IGLC28 Conference proceedings, and a Member of the IGLC Standardisation committee.

He has examined over 15 PhDs across the UK, India, South Africa, the Republic of Ireland, and Italy, and currently supervises over eight doctoral students. Prospective PhD students should contact him at e.daniel2@wlv.ac.uk
