BIO
Jake joined Wolverhampton University as a Lecturer in 2021 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2024. Before this, he served as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Law Birmingham and as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at Aston University. Jake is the Module Leader for Constitutional and Administrative Law and European Union Law, leading these modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
In 2017, Jake received a Dean's Scholarship from Aston University to support his doctoral research. His research focuses on UK Constitutional Law, particularly executive dominance and its significance to the British Constitution. He earned his PhD from Aston University in 2021, with a thesis titled "Executive Dominance and the British Constitution," which explores the rise and impact of executive dominance on parliamentary sovereignty.
Currently, Jake is an ERAS Fellow, having secured £5,000 through the Early Researcher Award Scheme (2024/25) to fund his research. He also coordinates the Law School at the West Midlands Legal Doctoral Network.
