TEACHING INTERESTS
I am a dedicated academic with a strong background in materials and additive manufacturing (AM), product design, and simulation, combining expertise in manufacturing processes, materials characterisation, and testing with a passion for fostering innovation and practical knowledge among students. With a PhD in Engineering Metamaterial Science and a Master’s in Manufacturing Engineering, I aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world applications in the field of engineering.
As a Knowledge Exchange Associate, I work closely with students, researchers, and industry professionals, delivering high-quality teaching and mentoring. I specialise in product design and simulation, using advanced software such as SolidWorks and Ansys to guide students in creating, testing, and optimising their designs for performance and manufacturability. Additionally, I provide professional training in CAD, simulation, and Additive Manufacturing (AM), helping individuals enhance their professional skills and advance their careers. My teaching integrates theory with practical applications, empowering students to solve complex engineering problems and excel in the rapidly growing fields of additive manufacturing, product development, and simulation.
I also work within the ECMS project to develop various Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for businesses in the areas of design, simulation, and manufacturing. In this capacity, I lead a team in delivering high-quality training that enhances the skills and capabilities of professionals in these fields.
Through my work, I aim to inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to contribute to the advancement of sustainable and green manufacturing solutions.
