RESEARCH INTERESTS

Research interests include multimedia-supported learning, with a particular focus on the impact of video-enhanced learning on learner experience, engagement, and attainment. She is especially interested in how digital and visual media can be used to create meaningful, inclusive, and effective learning environments. Alongside this, Gemma has a strong interest in the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SoLT), supporting educators to engage in scholarly inquiry, evaluate the impact of their teaching practices, and disseminate evidence-informed approaches to learning and teaching. Her work promotes reflective practice and practitioner research as a means of enhancing student outcomes and contributing to the wider higher education community.
