BIO

I am a Lecturer in Architecture and a Senior Architect with more than a decade of experience taking projects from initial concept through to completion. In my academic role I combine research with practical work, mentoring the next generation of designers while working to contribute to industry discourse and innovation.

My career has taken me through every RIBA work stage across a varied portfolio of education facilities, residential schemes, cultural centres and the conservation of listed buildings. I have been responsible for projects that require a careful balance of creativity and technical precision. I am accustomed to working with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Photoshop, and also to translating hand sketches into buildable details or leading multidisciplinary teams through feasibility studies and site liaison.

I studied at Birmingham City University, the University of Bath and the University of the West of England. My grounding in arts and design theory informs both my teaching and my professional practice.

Key strengths include:-
- Full spectrum project leadership at RIBA stages 0 to 7 in education, residential, cultural and heritage sectors.
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Photoshop, with experience producing coordinated construction documentation
- Heritage conservation expertise, including work on Grade I and Grade II star listed buildings.
- Teaching and mentorship, developing curricula, critiquing design work and encouraging critical thinking in undergraduate and postgraduate cohorts.
- Collaborative communication, engaging with clients, planners, consultants and contractors to achieve design integrity and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

I am committed to bridging academia and practice, and to exploring how emerging technologies and research can address real world challenges. I welcome connection from those interested in collaborating on design innovation, discussing research opportunities or considering the future of architectural education.
